There's still a decent bit of water on the Liffey - 3 megs ain't bad - would still be worth a trip to sluice
It's like, people only do these things because they can get paid. And that's just really sad...

There's a weeeeee bit of rain forcast for 2m. By Wed there may be a bit of water on the Annamoe, could be a good time to go with freshers, low level means Annamoe - Trooperstown would suit. Low Wicklow would be better than a medium/ low Boyne  :P

I'll be about for Wed, will probably be at Sluice on Friday anyway.

Ok... what i ment was:
The Boyne is a long drive for alot of flatwater, if people want to go playboating Sluice would be a better choice. But if freshers want to get out Sluice can be pretty boring if you are just sitting around watching hence Wicklow would be better... does that make more sense?

If people are heading to Sluice on Wednesday I wouldn't mind coming along, don't think I'd have the time for anything else though.

You can learn a lot on the Boyne if you're bothered. Sure there's a load of flat sections but the few features make up for it, especially for an enthusiastic fresher.

It's a nice river to paddle on a warm sunny day but if it's cold and particularly if it's windy it can be a bit of a pain in the ass.

I'd prefer a low annamoe to a low boyne - what with the driving and the long flatwater sections on the boyne
